WHO LET THE DADS OUT? - SAT 19 OCT   9:30am

Dads, grandads and male carers are invited to bring their children (up to 7 years) to St Peter’s church for a couple of hours (9:30-11:30am) of fun and bacon & egg rolls.

At a cost of just £4 per family, amazing bouncy castle, train and car sets, Wendy House lots of ride-on trikes and toys of all sorts. Bacon & egg rolls and food for the children.

Come along every third Saturday of the month.

MEN’S BACON BUTTIE BREAKFAST - SAT 5 OCT   9am  in the Church.  We welcomed Dennis Vincent as our guest speaker. Dennis was commissioned into a British Army Infantry Battalion in 1987, he served in Northern Ireland, Iraq, Afghanistan and the Congo.  He was awarded the MBE in 2002, for his leadership during the Fireman's Strike.  

When he joined the Army he was not a Christian and did not come to faith until he experienced a traumatic, life-changing event in his early thirties. Since then his mission has been to evangelise in the Army.  He is now an academic at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

VISIT TO FARNBOROUGH AIR SCIENCES TRUST -          SAT 24 MAR  10am

A fascinating collection of aircraft, cockpit simulators, models, lots of wind-tunnel exhibits and even an atom bomb, all commemorating Farnborough's role in aerospace development in the UK.  There's free parking, free entrance and a cafe, and FAST is open from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

10-MILE WALK  - SAT 26 OCT   9am at the Church

Our final 10-mile walk of the year, just before the clocks go back, will be on Saturday 26th October, led by Dave Mullins. 

A donation of £1.50 per car is recommended.

MEN’S WELSH WALKING WEEKEND - FRI 6 to SUN 8 SEP

A large group of men joined in the renowned annual walking weekend in the Brecon Beacons on 6th - 8th September.  A variety of walks were offered to suit all abilities.  Accommodation was in the highly rated Glyntawe Outdoor Centre - all food and drinks were provided plus travel – all for the amazing price of £115 per head. 

For hardy walkers there was also the option of an additional day walk on Friday 6th, by travelling on the evening of Thursday 5th September, at an additional charge of £30.

This was the long-awaited brewery tour to the ‘Windsor and Eton’ Brewery in Camberley. I great time was had (by all who could remember!) - just ask any of those joined the tour.
