The Sunday morning service at Yateley Centre meets in the Yateley School Hall.

The video (click left) gives you some idea of what the people who come to the Sunday service at the Centre feel about it.

Running alongside the main service is miniChurch, aimed at our 0-3’s and their parents/carers

miniChurch provides a safe, friendly, comfortable and multi-sensory environment with worship, Bible stories, prayer and activities for little ones, including free play. For the grown-ups, there is an opportunity to get to know each other.

Mini Church is flexible – some parents stay for the whole time, others drop their children off and go to the main service.

If you are new to Church, you might find this a nice way of joining our church family, finding out more about Jesus while your little one is having fun.

The Children’s Church meet at Yateley School every Sunday, except when there is an All-age service (second Sunday of the month).

Our aim is “To have fun getting to know Jesus”

Our meetings consist of some children’s worship songs, learning a memory verse in creative ways, learning about the Bible, crafts, games, drama, some food and having fun!

Some of the older children created a dramatised version of a Bible story about ‘Kindness’ - click right to watch their short video.

The children at the Centre congregation act out a

story of kindness (2Sam9)

We split into two age-groups after about 10 – 20 minutes (roughly Infants and Juniors) so we can enjoy age-appropriate stories and activities. We really enjoy our time together and regularly see 15 – 25 children aged between 3 and 11.

We always have room for more children and we would love you to join us!

The service starts at 10am, although most people arrive before then for a cup of tea or coffee. Dress code is normally casual. Expect jeans, open-neck shirts, trainers, but please wear whatever you are most comfortable in. About a quarter of the people who join us on a Sunday are children and there are groups most Sundays for children up to age 11 (see below).

We are intentionally informal. We worship God, using a mixture of contemporary music and well-known hymns and then usually have a time of prayer, a reading from the bible and a talk. Once a month, usually on the third Sunday, we have a Communion service and, on the second Sunday, we have a service that is specifically designed for all age groups.

Our services normally finish between 11:15 and 11:30am, after which there are refreshments and an opportunity for people to get to know each other.

There’s also a youth group, ‘Soul Food’, taking place on a Sunday morning for all those between school years 7 and 11. Click on the panel left for more information.

On Palm Sunday 2019, we were delighted to welcome back one of the worship bands from Birmingham Vineyard church, which featured Hannah Thompson, who was part of St Peter's for the first 18 years of her life.
